The hour record has traditionally been the great cycling record that a professional attempts at least once on their career. Done on a track (velodrome). Funny lance never attempted one. No point competing against yourself I suppose.

So I'll be taking an hour for my "record attempt" this weekend. Maybe I'll think about (vinyl) records, and I'll certainly record the ride (I like to see where I've been).

Postscript: I rode around the neighborhood with Lucy for an hour, so I attempted my hour without even meaning to. That'll do.
